It only took until 3:00pm to get to my step dad's house :) Wow this is going to be a long day.

And if you have ever driven I-5 you know what I mean by LONG.
We spent a couple of hours at Andy and Val's house where I left the camera in the car. (Very smart)
They had a BBQ, Ice Cream Cake and Presents for the boys. It was nice to see my dad and Val and all their girls. (Andrea Dawn, Michelle, Melody, Andrea Renee, Angela, Breanna, Kayla, and Michelle's girls) Not to mention they have 2 female dogs and a female cat.... that is a lot of girls between the 2 of them :)
After the fun in Sacramento we were back on the road again. Heading for Bakersfield for the night.

After spending the night in Bakersfield, we set off for my dad's house in scenic, Arizona. We ate in the car and set off on our journey. It only took 6 hours :)

Someone ordered clouds and rain.... I was not impressed!

But the kids were great in the car all that way.

Then I saw some sunshine!

Kiss was a little antsy in the car after 2 full days. So she decided to drive. :)

Only 16 miles from my dad's house the kids had to have a potty break... AGAIN!

We got to Dad's at about 8 and went out to eat.
The next day we met Dad (after he worked all night), Grandpa Jerry, Mimi Nancy, Aunt Kelly and her boys Kyle and Mason for brunch. Grammie V came with us :)
Then we went swimming while Dad and Valerie took naps.

We got back to Dad's in the afternoon. We got ready for a big BBQ with everyone. That morning Kiss had attacked one of Dad's chickens and pulled out the tale feathers, but by that evening he was at least standing and drinking.
The children spent the afternoon playing the the yard and swimming pool there.

Tiger is the pug. He is so cute and sweet and snorts when he is happy :)

Flipper is the 4 pound Chihuahua that is in love with Kiss.

Newt was a tad bit grumpy but had a hard life and is now an old man.

Kiss was in smelling heaven :)

While we made dinner the boys all played the game boys.

Instant Buddies!

That night ended up being very late and the kids were super tired by the end.

The next morning Mel woke very slowly to a movie, while Alex ate and Tylor played a spelling game with my dad.

Afterwards they did a little bit of workbooks.

Dad and the boys had a great time hanging out.

That day we had a picnic at the park and let the children run wild.

Then we went back to the pool. This time everyone came. There was no wind and it was beautiful.

That day we also met Uncle Dave.

All and All it was a great trip!
