A Wonderful Weekend!

This was a great weekend!

Saturday started out slowly. Brook let me sleep in and so my day didn't even start until 9am, which as you may know is about 4 hours later than normal. When I got up we decided to have Momma's light and fluffy Yogurt Pancakes :o) After a wonderful breakfast and some great time in God's word our day was ready to begin.

My mom and Shelby came up from Stillwater and came over to help me get ready for the BBQ. We prepared all the food while Brook cleaned the deck and BBQ and the children ran in and out and played with Shelby and the dogs.

On Saturday afternoon, my mom and the kiddies made dessert for dinner with the family. Chocolate covered pineapple and chocolate covered pretzels. It was such a nice treat and the kids were a mess :o)

At 6pm we had Mom, Nana, Lisa, Lindsay and Shelby came over. It was a great time of Family, good food and wonderful conversation. After ward we had dessert and Shelby and Brook played games on the Xbox with Jeremiah in Colorado Springs. It is so cool to me that Brook and his brother in law can play games together, just like they are in the same room and be 800 miles apart.

The sad thing yesterday was that my camera fell and broke. I can still use Brook's big camera, it is just hard on my hands.

Today was a beautiful morning when I woke up to an amazing sunrise. After some wonderful quiet time with the Lord, Tylor came out to join me.

We all went to church where even though our normal worship leader was on vacation, we were blessed to have a great group lead us in worship. We had a great sermen about Romans 12:1-2. We need to not conform to the world's ideas of who we should be, but be who God has made us to be.

"I beseech you therefore, brethern, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect in God."

After church was our fellowship meal where we had a lovely conversation with another woman in our church who also has several children. We were able to visit for a while and then came home.

When we got home we decided to have a family day of fun :o) First we played UNO and then my mom and Shelby and Lindsay came over to say good bye for the next 2 weeks. Then we finished playing UNO, then we played Wii's Disney Sing It, High School Musical. Then had a great dinner and now Brook and the boys are playing with Uncle J online again.

My dear sweet daughter is now learning if you decide to be sassy and cranky then you have to go to bed early. So she is sleeping. But she obviously needed it :o)

I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful family. God has place me here for such a time as this and I am sure glad He did! Have a blessed week!
