Day 10

Good Morning Friends! I am feeling refreshed and energized for today. I started the Daniel Fast this morning and my time of prayer and reading has already been blessed.

Today's reading is Genesis 25-26 and Galatians 3

In today's Old Testament story, Abraham has died and was buried with Sarah his wife. But before he died he married again and had several more children, and had several concubines that had children as well. Just like with the 1st one though, all the concubines and their children were sent away from Isaac.

Issac and Rebekah had some issues getting pregnant too, but Isaac went and pleaded with God and she had twins. Not only was she caring 2 babies but the Word says they fought while in the womb. That should have shown Isaac and Rebekah what was to come :O)

The 1st one, Esau, was born all red and hairy and grew to be a farmer of the land and his father loved him, but when Jacob was born he grabbed Esau's heel. He grew to work in the tent and his mother loved him. Sounds like he was a good cook, and Esau wanted his stew that he made, even so much that when Jacob asked for his birth right, Esau, who didn't seem to care, just gave it up for lintels and bread.

Later we find that Isaac was like his father in some ways and worried about himself more then trusting God to keep him safe. He called his wife his sister until he was found showing affection to her and called on it. After that he was seen to be a good neighbor it seems, not wanting to disobey God by moving out of the area, but not wanting to upset the workers of the land by fighting over water.

At the end of this we see that Esau not only traded his birth right, but also married 2 women which brought shame to his parents. (I am sure that will come back to bite him).

Galatians brought us back to Abraham's promise. And states that weather Jew or Gentiles, if we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ then we too are part of the seed of Abraham and get his promise.

My heart is asking me to make sure, but if you do not know how to accept Christ, if you want Abraham's promise but have no idea what it is to give your heart to God, or if you have given you heart to God, but maybe have fallen away and want to turn you life back to Him, please let me know and I would love to pray with you or give you the salvation information. You can message me with any prayer needs about this, as to not be said in the public of the group if you want.

Have a beautiful blessed day (snowing here) :O)
