Day 7

Good Morning Everyone :O) Shorter reading today, Genesis 17-19.

WOW for a reading though! Can you imagine getting a covenant from God that says that you will be the father of all the nations, and you are 100 and your wife is 99? Crazy, right? But if that is not enough, not only will you baby boy (that you don't have yet) and any other male descendants will be circumcised, but you have to get circumcised at 99 and your 13 year old son has to also. WOW, what a fun bonding time between father and son. hahahahaha

But Abraham was faithful and good and believed God, even though it seemed impossible. As for us, now, how hard is it to believe God for something far less then having a baby at 100? What are you not trusting God with? He CAN do all things and NOTHING is impossible for Him!!!!

After the fun "bonding" with his son, Abraham finds out that the place his nephew is living with his wife and daughters adn son-in-law, is about to be destroyed. Abraham doesn't want God to get angry, but he does want God to give Sodom a chance to survive, not believing that everyone who lives there is evil. But God is not like that and He is merciful and full of grace. He sends angels to save Lot and his family. When Lot's son-in-law wont listen, how hard was it to just leave his daughter there? When his wife looked back, how hard was it not to look back too. But Lot stood on what the angels told him to do.

Now at the end, I was thrown off, like I have the several time before when I have read this part. WOW, laying with Dad in order to keep the family going.... WOW is all I can say to that. It is interesting who was born out of these relations though, Moab and Ben-Ammi. I have a feeling we will hear what happens with them later. :O)

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday, and don't forget to keep up your reading over the weekend :O) God Bless you!
